Shape A Light is product of MegaHertz Magnetics, located in beautiful Boulder, Colorado.

MegaHertz Magnetic Corp. started out in 1991 as a woman owned engineering and consulting firm dedicated to solving general engineering challenges and technical issues in the field of Electrical Engineering and specifically in the field of transformer and inductor design in high frequency environment.

After some consulting for various engineering firms, MegaHertz Magnetic Corp was asked to provide additional services. These services included MegaHertz Magnetic Corp having capability to manufacture a few prototypes of the paper design, having ability to support early production runs for customers’ Advance manufacturing operation, and ultimately for MegaHertz Magnetic Corp to be able to support a customer’s project from paper design to full manufacturing.

Initially MegaHertz Magnetic Corp. supported customer’s advance manufacturing operations only. In 1993, MegaHertz Magnetic Corp. made a strategic decision to add full manufacturing operation as a follow on and in addition to its engineering and consulting arm of the business. Addition of manufacturing operation would require a long term commitment for acquisition of automated and programmable production equipment.
